What is Season of Giving?
Every year, the holidays remind us what it means to come together as a community. For some families, though, this time of year can be more stressful than joyful. At Joaquin in2 Inclusion, we joined Season of Giving to make sure that children and families who are struggling don’t have to go without during the holidays.
What started small has quickly grown into one of our favorite ways to give back. Season of Giving is about more than just food and presents — it’s about neighbors supporting neighbors. It’s about making sure every child gets to feel the magic of Christmas morning, and that families can gather around a holiday meal without worrying if there’s enough to eat.
In the past, we’ve provided meals for families who would have otherwise gone hungry during winter break, when many children lose access to the school-provided meals they count on. We’ve also made sure kids wake up to Christmas gifts, no matter what their family’s financial situation might be. This year, we’re expanding even further — reaching into more communities like Rockport and continuing to grow the impact Season of Giving has across Texas.
But this isn’t just about us. Season of Giving is possible because of the incredible support from our community — people who step up with donations, volunteer hours, and kindness. Every dollar, every toy, every food item donated helps us show families that they are not forgotten and that their community cares about them.
As we move into this holiday season, we invite you to be part of the work. Whether you can give, volunteer, or simply share the word about Season of Giving, you’re helping spread hope and love where it’s needed most.
Together, we can make sure no family has to face the holidays alone.
